New Laws: Long Service Leave in Victoria

As of November 2018, the Long Service Leave Act 2018 came into effect in Victoria.  The main changes introduced relate to employees becoming entitled to take leave after 7 rather than 10 years, there being no or limited change to entitlements as a result of parental leave, and the right to take leave in various periods.  Unlike other areas of employment law, long service leave remains regulated by each state, for now.  Contact us for further information.
